Our Custom Collection is a homage to all the beautiful, creative, and inspiring bikes that customers, employees, and friends of Jenson USA build up with handpicked parts, colors, and personalities to match. These bikes occupy a special place in our hearts and minds, and we want to share them with you.

Keith is like us – and we’re guessing, probably like you, too. He works hard so he can play hard, stealing glimpses at Pinkbike and Vital during the day to keep his mind between two wheels, plotting his weekend and evening dirt forays in the spare seconds of a busy life. When Yeti’s new Super Bike exploded onto the knobby-tired blogosphere, it came as no surprise that he was one of the first people we heard from about getting one into his hands in California’s Bay Area, over a month before we’d even see the bike in our shop.

The Yeti SB-5c in all its glory

The Yeti SB-5C

The SB-5C is hailed as one of the latest bikes to “rule them all”, with slacker (one could even utter the word “enduro”) angles than many trail-oriented bikes, balanced by the next-generation Switch Infinity suspension design pivoting on a custom Fox Kashima slider. With an uncanny ability to climb like a bike with a penchant for big miles and steeper geometry, the SB-5C satisfies many palates and riding styles. Born at the foot of the Rockies in Golden, Colorado, Yeti’s creation is a recipe for total domination on trails with big ascending and even bigger descending.

Keith’s Dream Build

Keith’s bike started from the drivetrain – SRAM’s revolutionary 1×11 X01 system handles powertrain duties, down to the carbon crankset and 10-42T cassette that makes getting over the hills in Northern California a bit more bearable. Fox’s reliable 34 Float fork takes care of sucking up trail hits, and then we turned to rival bike builder Ibis for hoops. Their new 27.5” 741 carbon wheels, at a whopping 41mm wide, offer an almost fatbike tire profile to the front and rear Maxxis rubber on the SB-5C, making grip a problem of the past, even in the dusty rocks of Northstar and amongst the loamy redwoods of Santa Cruz. Stopping duties are assigned to flashy tried-and-true XTR Trail brakes, and the requisite stealth-routed Rockshox Reverb complimenting a Thomson cockpit round out the build.

A beautiful blend of fancy drivetrain bits matched to carbon goodness
