Jenson USA customer, Cameron, is a total Ninerd. His mean green machine build has us geeking out too.

The Niner Air9 RDO

When it comes to a pure-bred cross country race bike, visions of narrow bars, tiny tires, and flexy frames come to mind – but the Niner Air 9 RDO, now in its third year on the scene, has smashed all of those preconceptions. So, when we get a call about building one, our ears perk, and our grins widen, especially when it’s bound for the Niner homeland of the Front Range.

Cameron's Build

Cameron from Pueblo, Colorado had us custom-build his green dream machine, an Air 9 RDO with a no-holds barred parts kit, tastefully colormatched red and green componentry, and supreme trail-worthiness that only a set of Industry Nine Torch wheels wrapped in big Schwalbe Racing Ralphs can deliver. This bike is nothing short of a singletrack rocket ship, destined to take on the weekend race, weekday trail ride, and maybe a Strava KOM or three. But why take it from us? We asked Cameron what he thought about his new ride – his own words: Faster than he could have ever thought. The best hardtail he’s ever ridden, outstripping rivals from the big brands, and offering a unique aesthetic in a landscape populated by the same brands over and over again. He’s in love with the 1×11 SRAM X01 drivetrain, and his feelings for the Industry Nine Torch wheels match, with their perfect functionality and stunning looks. If you ever bump into Cameron on the trail you’ll see for yourself – the Air 9 RDO is a machine to be feared.
