Can HIV patients have babies?

A diagnosis of HIV does not mean you cant have children. But you can pass HIV to your baby during the pregnancy, while in labor, while giving birth, or by breastfeeding. The good news is that there are many ways to lower the risk of passing HIV to your unborn baby to almost zero.

Can you date someone with HIV?

You can still have relationships and a sex life. You just need to be a little more careful. Dating with the virus is a lot safer than it used to be. New HIV drugs and pre-exposure prophylaxis (PrEP) lessen the chances that youll pass HIV to your partner.
