Niner Bikes has finally brought all that we've come to love about the steel and aluminum RLT 9 frames, and packaged it into a svelte RDO carbon build with some tweaking of geometry to make this bike earn its Race Day Optimized badge. Jump in and take a deeper look at how this frame expands the horizons of the already vastly adventurous RLT 9 family.
The Gravelking. Maybe the name alone gives you confidence in what this tire was born to do. Or for the marketing skeptics, perhaps a reason to doubt its claim to the throne. This summer I logged about 400 miles on a pair of Gravelkings, riding a variety of terrain and weather conditions in California, Utah, Colorado, and Idaho and have arrived at a few conclusions on when to pledge thyself to the self-described King of Gravel.
Deep in the serene and isolated mountains of Sun Valley is Idaho’s best gravel cycling event. Ketchum, ID is home to the Wood River, the Copper Basin's towering peaks and rolling grasslands, a regular wild west with purple mountains majesty. It's home to skiing in the winter, and biking in the summer with over 400 miles of singletrack, and every year for the past 4 years it has been the home to Rebecca’s Private Idaho, a 100 mile (or 50 mile) gravel biking/race event that is a test of strength and a show of beauty for cyclists who want to enjoy the ride as much as they push themselves to perform.
