Coming off one of the most epic mounatin bike movie releases, Graham Agassiz is on fire coming into Red Bull’s Rampage. Will 2015 be the year of Aggy?
Virgin, Utah – 2015 has already been a banger year for freeride beast Graham Agassiz. Leading up to Red Bull’s Rampage event Aggy released one of the most epic mountain bike films. He was one fire! Literally on fire. Rampage is fully suited to Aggy’s playfully serious style of riding.
But, the Kamloops, B.C. rider has struggled to connect when it counts at Rampage for 2 years in a row. Aggy came up short of the podium despite having some of the most innovative and big lines and having completely dialed his qualifying runs. Will Aggy be able to shake of the juju of years past, and make 2015’s Rampage win his?
I’m actually feeling really good. I’m not really putting pressure on myself. I’m just having fun and taking it day by day.
Despite Aggy being one of the most loved riders by fans and riders alike, he has held a strong stance on not sharing his line. He has been adamant that his build partner, Andreu Lacondeguy, and himself have laid claim to this line through endless hours of design and work. This hasn’t come without some dissonance from other riders as it is arguably one of the most enviously desired line options. However, Aggy seems to be taking the heat in stride. Ultimately, it remains to be seen if Aggy can keep a cool head all the way to the podium.
